I used to be in LUCT for Architecture. I loved it, designing and drawing – it was a dream come true for me. Sadly I guess I do not have what it takes to be a full on Architect. But, I still draw until today. It is still a big part of my life today as it was before.

Here’s one of my latest designs. Let me give you the story behind the design and the idea behind the story. What you’re about to see below is a single bed private cabin. It has no attached toilet, there is not much space for anything at all. Why no toilet you may wonder? well this particular design is just one part of an idea of mine. A community resort, this said resort is focused more on mixing its guests in most activities. So instead of having a toilet attached most of the smaller nearby room will have their toilet in the ‘Main Commune Building‘. The guest are not meant to camp out in their rooms, the aim is to get them to the ‘Main Commune Building’ to engage in activities and interact with other guests – the only time where guests will be in their room will most likely be whenever they need to sleep or to retreat to somewhere private.

The design is simplified to allow for minimal use of material and to give a modern industrial take on a resort cabin. Spaces are utilized to the max to ensure full efficiency.

Note: a friend commented on the waste of the wall right of the entrance and the side roof. sorry but i want that there lol
